Angry Sun (sun@shitposter.world)'s status on Wednesday, 10-Apr-2024 20:47:39 JST Angry Sun @Zergling_man @kaia this has existed for ages, the browser implementations have just never worked worth a damn. You can internet search about it is called "client certificate authentication." You have an SSL cert on your machine and the SSL on a website you visit can encrypt to your cert and use it to identify you without any interaction.
There is a newer way, which is you can use a crypto wallet like Metamask to use your wallet key as a public key authentication method. You don't actually have to ever touch the blockchain or spend or receive crypto money, your wallet is just a private key and it can be used for authentication. It works pretty well.kaia likes this. -
