     First class international flight out of tokyo.. so similar to a medium high end resteraunt but not exactly the same as high end.

     @freemo@qoto.org It's in a restaurant? So this is fancy. My Japanese roommates back then never cooked this fancy. ;) They usually do simple large meals with rice or ramen. Rice seemed more common I think.

     @trinsec most planes have business class. First is only on a few planes these days. First class is usually for the rich people who cant drink anything but thousand dollar champagne bottles ;)

     I rarely do first. I just need enough room to be comfy. Business class is fine for me. I decided splurge this go because i had been meaning to try japanese hospitality and food.

     @freemo@qoto.org Heh. Still cool. Closest to first class I ever got was on a Singapore Airlines plane on a friday the thirteenth... and uh.. that was a bigass plane with only 10 passengers on board. Whole row for myself, y0! XD

     @trinsec economy class is rough. Sadly business classis usually not affordable for most people. Prices are usually like 10x more in some cases.

     @freemo@qoto.org I definitely never will do 'economy' class again, especially not on long flights. My dad was suffering from it for a week straight. (We went to Curacao with the whole family)
     I'm sure the material they used for the chairs was harder than steel, it wasn't suitable for anyone's buttocks. :P

     @freemo @trinsec For domestic flight I always try to choose the business or first class when I'm flying alone, the price is not that crazy if you got the timing right. Last year I went to Yunnan and the price for round trip with business class is less than 4000 CNY (at this time the economy price is about 900 CNY for round trip). But when I went to Yunnan during the spring festival (follow my relatives), the economy class cost more than 4000 CNY.

     But sadly it's getting difficult to find wide-body aircraft for domestic lines, like A350-900, where you can lie flat comfortably. For aircraft like A320, I think it's just a wider version of economy seat.

     Internation one is always expensive, even during the off-season :(
