It's a vascular disease, for starters - it damages your body's ability to regulate blood clotting, and damages the interior of your veins. It damages the nerves that make your heart work. It damages the part of your brain that regulates how your heart works. It damages all kinds of things.

      @sickburnbro This study looks into the case for the rare cases where people do get myocarditis from the vaccine. This isn't some kind of a 'everyone who gets vaccinated gets damage' thing this is a "for the rare people who get damaged, why does it happen" thing

      @jeffcliff @Wanderen it means that mRNA isn't like aspirin, it's not something that is just blocking receptors. It is active, so it doesn't matter if the mRNA protein breaks down at a certain rate in the bloodstream

      That's what that study above was looking for. Things like 'their immune system wasn't working right' might be part of the answer, but nobody knows why it failed for those specific people - thats why studies like that are being done.
