Update: I have finished the whole series as it currently stands. Many thousands of pages and hours, and I regret to inform you I am still unimpressed. Boy, don’t you all have egg on your faces.

Mara Caelin (mara@glammr.us)'s status on Thursday, 04-Apr-2024 11:58:17 JST Mara Caelin A few years ago I read Throne of Glass. I was not a huge fan but passed it on to my 14yo niece.
I told a colleague I sent “the 1st #SarahJMaas book” to my niece, & she looked at me funny. I realized later that she thought I sent A Court of Thorns and Roses. “Whoops, she thinks I sent erotica to a teen!”
I just finished #ACOTAR and the spice is MILD. How did it get this reputation? Are the later books hornier, or did SOME PEOPLE not spend enough time on #ao3 to be well-calibrated? #bookstodon
