     @niconiconi Except not really given how involved packagers are with upstreams, it's pretty rare to just take things as-is.

     @niconiconi Which reminds me that I find "packaging" to describe the work way too reductive (and N/A for systems like gentoo where it's recipes).
     As package maintainers mainly do system integration to the point of being potential fallback maintainers when the upstream ones are MIA.
