     I don’t make any noise if nobody is around, if someone like my brother is there like when I screwed my finger into a roof I’ll wait 30 seconds and say “yowzers“ or something to try to be funny and when my gf is around I’ll say ouch so that she gives me kisses lol

     Mostly performatively and inverse to the severity. So if I wang my elbow or something I'll make a big exaggerated "auuugh" but one time I fucked up pretty bad while working on a project and didnt say much outside of "That was a silly mistake, I need you to take me to the ER"
     
     I think shock was a large factor in the second reaction though.
