Some proprietary JavaScript could possibly be running on github's end, but that's github's loss and not yours.
Thinking about it, all developers with a github account should be branded as at risk for backdooring software with proprietary malware (as it happens all the time on github, but I haven't heard a single case of malware addition being intentionally carried out on freedom-respecting forges). -

Doesn't git need to run server side js to be able to fetch repos from Github? -
