In other news, @Moon's server migration has a peculiar side effect. You cannot fetch *any* posts from there whether you have signed fetches enabled or not. All posts you can see on other instances are those that were sent directly to their inboxes. He has essentially turned his whole userbase into permanent lockfags, and knowing him, I won't be surprised if that was his plan all along. @dcc@colonelj No it doesn't, the only two users from shitposter.world that have posts on anni are those that have migrated and got follows on your side.
@dcc@colonelj Because it's from mangeurdenuage, who either has followers on your side or made the post before moon locked down the access to activities.
@sneeden@mint@Moon it seems like it started trying to federate with everyone all at once and the software is shitting itself. clogged oban queues etc etc
we need to inject 🇨🇵 directly into spc's (spw's) DB so the feds magically make it federate to the rest of us, its the only way
@Hoss@mint@Moon Time to start making up schizo theories: - Moon is selling his new domain to Redis and making it pay only. - Moon is dead. He has been replaced by an agent of the Anunnaki who needs a new domain to gain full control. - Moon was never real, he's multiple pepople controling the same account and one of them has gone rogue. - Moon just needed an excuse to use one of his million unused domains he's already paying for.
@pernia@sneeden@Moon What do you think I'm doing right now? It's a fucking silo and I still can't get it to fetch the needed actor. Last time something similar happened (on goreslut.xyz), I managed to get it working first try; now I'm inclined to believe moony did, in fact, modify something to prevent SPW from federating properly.
@mint@pernia@sneeden This is absolutely NOT intentional I don't know why you are seeing what you are seeing. This is a completely standard development branch Pleroma install. Please stop accusing me of shit. Every time in the past I've done something you've disliked I didn't hide it. The only policy difference between this server and the previous one is that I added recripocal rejects for servers that reject us, but that should not in any way affect your ability to get posts from us.
@munir@pernia@sneeden@mint I already did retard. Nothing special is being done to block him and never in the past when I did something with my server that morally offended him did I deny I did it, I tried, charitably, to explain to him why I did it.
@Moon@pernia@sneeden This post failed to get delivered for whatever reason (happens once in a while, fetching from iEX returns the post successfully but it doesn't show up in DB nor in frontend, have to restart pleromer to refetch it; it seems like more DB issues are cropping up since I merged upstream's patches yesterday). Anyway, I have talked to you about this button before. You are well aware of what it causes and if you still intentionally keep this setting enabled, I have nothing to assume other than your deliberate disregard of federation. >This is a completely standard development branch Pleroma install I don't recall Pleroma's development branch being called spc2. @Moon@pernia@sneeden@mint Ryona dot Agency are full of stupid schizos, of course they'll latch onto the first chance they get to indict someone for being part of the illuminati or some shit like that
@mint@pernia@sneeden@Moon it's not even a day into what I'm assuming is a very complex migration which no one has ever done before. Can you wait a week before making claims that moon is deliberately doing something?
@lewdthewides@pernia@sneeden@Moon My usual workaround for this kind of scenario (get the server to fetch the signing actor via other federation flows) failed to work, and I'm getting disenfranchised in perceived authority anyway.
@mint@pernia@sneeden@Moon ahh well idk then, how do i check if a server is fedding with mine? check in the peers endpoint or something? (so we can rule out issues on your side)
@mint@pernia@sneeden I hate Federated software. All of it is dumb and retarded. Everytime I study anything related to it I get a fucking headache and want to punch the one who made it. ActivityPub, Matrix.. everything it fucking sucks
@mint@pernia@sneeden i think all of us are a little bit wrong in the head for using federated software; we cant even blame each other, fedi stuff is just awful garbage. for all we know it might not be moon's fault and we might be shooting in the air.
1. Federated software is the patrician choice. No one can say with a straight face that it's us who are wrong in the head after looking at the state of the normies nowadays. 2. It's good to be that which moon calls an obsessive weirdo, especially around these parts. Countless examples of why this is the case, with a couple in this very thread. One with the chomo a few posts above and another with the database corruption issues. 015797b3e037f907a0063fab958101d…
@lauralt@munir@pernia@sneeden Maybe I was a bit too rough, but I still think giving someone a reality check is a noble cause. It's not always sunshine and rainbows no matter how much he wants it to be otherwise. Besides, the federation issues affected the whole network with proofs in this very thread; even the first screenshot was made from eientei's side.
@phnt@pernia@munir@sneeden@threat The restart with more paranoid options likely happened sometime after that. I was trying to subscribe to its relay, and when refreshing the page to check it followers, it returned 502.
@Moon@pernia@sneeden@mint Posts are now federating after restart. Some account migrations failed for whatever reason, but I can deal with that.
These accounts didn't migrate here but migrated elsewhere (appeared as new users without notification): dielan coolboymew kirby mangeurdenuage
Also noticed that the relay does not follow back. Does the same for Club Cyberia, so this is something on my side since there are already instances following the relay.
@mint@pernia@munir@sneeden@threat That was probably the local status restart. SPW returned 502 for a few manual object fetches before that.
threat and SPCmovienight indeed migrated before any restarts that I know off (some of the first request made to SPW from my instance). Interestingly some account fetch attempts were made before that but all failed.
@mint@pernia@sneeden I'm inclined this a major fuck up when modifying Pleroma source (maybe deliberate) or the server has full queues (I don't really believe that because the site loads fine and post are sent for other instances). I tried manually fetching objects and users from iex, fetching posts via the search, ostatus_subscribe (this one just returns an empty page and no errors in logs). I give up and don't care.
And since his repo in Pleroma git is dead and the instance version points to non-existent commits in Pleroma's main repo, I can't check anything.
@Moon@pernia@sneeden@mint The featured collections yesterday returned the PleromaFE for some reason (with the application/json... in Accept header). Same thing happens on Club Cyberia. Cyberia runs quite recent versions of develop, so there might be a bug there. Did not check today because the relay worked when following from the mix task.
