     It works! Not on 240v but using a single 120v side of the genset won't cause an arc fault I kept getting.

     I found this one in a "surplus" (junk) yard for like $400 (nothing). It's a Northern Lights M753-8N that I converted for land use (seawater cooling to a radiator) and make a control panel for.

     Backup and supplement. Running the house directly off the genset is annoying because it's undersized and the light flicker like crazy. This, adding a buffer, increases fuel efficiency and when I'm not using all the power available from it, stores it in the battery inside.
     
     I run this engine off used motor oil so it's practically free (except for of course the maintenance on the engine itself)

     What kind of generator is it. Like names or whatever I am interested in a diesel one for future. Going to troll auction sites see if I can find one
