@idea_enjoyer@justnormalkorean Yeah the text is pretty clear that it's about a curse. People hold these views and don't examine them with basic cultural relativism because they've never cared. Actual atheist argument on the matter: >Hah these people were superstitious morons who believed in le sky daddy and things like demons and curses 🤣 oh look this Bible verse talking about a curse upon someone drinking this includes threat of barrenness, divorce, and all the consequences of social shaming that would come with it is totally saying they supported abortion!
@VIcFury@justnormalkorean There's a lot of other things that could've been done to prevent our situation we have today. I don't think abortion is good even if it's someone who sees me as a racial enemy, because it's a spiritually harmful act. Same goes for wanton violence and murder. I realize the obvious connection between these things in the context of 13/50 or the present higher numbers, but I don't think compromising with evil is a solution.
@BowsacNoodle@justnormalkorean state sponsored, socially approved, self selection isn't eugenics project we deserve but it's one we desperately need. Without abortion there would be 70 million more of them here... you want to live with 70 million more of them?
@Xenophon@idea_enjoyer@justnormalkorean >Serpents sneed Show me evidence that this was the dominant or even a popular view in early Christianity. The early church bitch-slapped a lot of people for heresies, sometimes literally.
Self regulating, but not self contained. The unbiased part is just as important as the competent part, and ideologues have no problem getting around the competency part, and have proven they're quite capable of infiltrating institutions. Adding another top down solution does nothing to fix ground up problems.
@Christmas_Man@BowsacNoodle@justnormalkorean Top down solutions have been very effective against us because we allow the opposition input and they allow us none. I think we can all see what needs to be corrected here.
@Christmas_Man@VIcFury@justnormalkorean You can still add more. Rather than immediately to the chopping block, you can go an advanced remedial education route and have challenging people in a special school. It's much easier to avoid errors this way, even if still not impossible.
