   My Mum came over today to help me unpack & organise the apartment.

   It's working well, most of the important things are now unpacked. I only have non-urgent things left to go, such as books & decor & craft supplies.

   Trying to pace myself and take good rests in between bouts of unpacking & organising.

   It's hard to stop in the middle of things! I usually keep going past the point where I should've rested. Then my body insists on a break, & it's probably a longer break than if I'd rested earlier

     A couple in the kitchen/dining area, and one in the bathroom.

     I like their flexibility & affordability.

     Not what I want long term, but they'll be fine for a year or so, while I get settled in & decide on how I'd like the space to be in the long term.

     I want to be here for at least 10 years, and I want it to become more and more ME over time.

     Just want it to be a space that makes me happy.

     I got up on a stepladder and repaired a broken pull-chain on one of the blinds.

     My first home maintenance task as a solo homeowner! I felt all proud and excited over such a small thing. 😁

     Going to try to find something to eat now, maybe do a little more unpacking if body will allow it.

     @lookitmychicken It's funny the little things you get ridiculously excited about as a new homeowner. When I bought my house, complete with yard space, I bought some gardening tools and was SO excited. Like, 'Look! I bought a shovel! To dig in this bit of dirt I own!'.

     I have moved a LOT of times. & many of those times were as the disabled single parent of a disabled teen (now adult) with a lot more stuff than me.

     This time, it's just me, and I got rid of lots of stuff already, so it seems easy by comparison.

     I can confess, however, that I entirely forgot to get the electricity connected until late afternoon of the day before. Luckily they were still able to do the connection with so little notice. 😂
