@Dan_Hulson
I dunno wtf is going on in this movie, but you have to check it out. Don't let the cover fool you. It takes place in the city.

I'm trying to figure out what it's about. It's like Nepoleon Dynomits meets Jacob's Ladder.

@Humpleupagus @Dan_Hulson Is it good? What's it about? I saw a couple decent movies recently that I was somewhat surprised by.

The original Jacob's Ladder is great. I've never seen the remake.

@Humpleupagus @Dan_Hulson I never saw Jacob's Ladder but I've always wanted to. I'll check that one out tomorrow night. I'm always looking for something new. I saw a couple decent enough movies recently and it was a pleasant surprise. Most stuff is absolutely terrible these days

I dunno. They have nothing original? The only thing that ruins the original is that Macaulay Culkin was cast as the son. I think it was before he was really famous. He only shows up in a few scenes though.

Why does hollywood do this?

I'll have to look it up. The only one ever to freak me out was 1408 and I was pretty tired when I watched it 🤣

@JMusic78 @Dan_Hulson @Humpleupagus @Eiregoat I liked 1408. I had low expectations and wound up enjoying it.

Holy shit
I remember a kids story when I was younger about a bunch of kids who go on some magical journey to some witches house. She told them a monster visited the house every night but it couldn't harm you if you were asleep.
I found the idea terrifying. How could you sleep after hearing something like that?

@Eiregoat @Humpleupagus @JMusic78 @80D I tell you a good horror movie I always recommend but I only seem to like it and that is Darkness Falls

😅 I woke up one night after being sick for several days and I hallucinated Freddy Kruger standing over my brother who was asleep. I just thought, I'll hear him scream before I'm in danger and I went back to sleep. 🤣😅🤣

@JMusic78 @Humpleupagus @Eiregoat @80D I was terrified of Freddy Kruger as a child me sister used sing the freddy song and scratch her nails on the wall and tell me he would kill me if I didn't hurry and go sleep

Make sure you get the right 'Girl nexxdoor." One is like a college comedy, the other is set in the 50s and gets dark. I don't want to ruin it, but it'll make you sick.

@Humpleupagus @Eiregoat @JMusic78 @Dan_Hulson I remember the college comedy one. I thought that girl was so fuckn hot when I was younger. (Still do) but I've seen her in other movies and she has never looked anywhere near as hot. She had like a 6 month shelf life. But anyways, so that one will be easy to avoid. Ill look for the scary one.

It doesn't seem like much at first. It's starts like a 1950s coming of age film, like standby me, but gets fucked.

>I still remember dreaming that zombies were coming out of my closet that night. Thanks, dad.
>dreaming
Not sure if it's right or wrong, but... I've always tried to make a distinction between dreams (pleasant) and nightmares (unpleasant). So when I see hump saying he was *dreaming* about zombies, I just have to assume it's a fetish.
Hey, I'm not judging, some people like clowns.

Jaws is still a great movie. The color and clarity of the ocean in the shots is prestine.

I saw jaws around the same age. I lived on top of a mountain and I was still scared a shark would get up there somehow. I watched the hallway like a hawk for the sign of a fin.

My dad let me watch Jaws when I was 7. Then he actually tried to take me to the beach that summer. No way was I getting in the water. He didn't know it but I didnt even take a bath for 3 months after seeing it. I'd run the tub and then sit on the bathroom floor for 15 minutes.
