     I don't get how you come to that conclusion, as GNU's Not Unix and doesn't contain any code from Unix.
     
     GNU is designed to be compatible with Unix, but goes much further beyond.

     @meeper I would advise against reading the Unix-haters handbook, as if I remember correctly, its a number of losetoddlers and appletoddlers seething incorrectly about the ways in which Unix and seemingly GNU are functionally superior.
