You missed the joke then. Bottom right is Blue's clue. Bottom left is from a porn thing called "casting couch" where they bring women in thinking they are going to be cast for a movie only to find out its porn and the interview involves sex... very popular, very degrading and vile.

@freemo@qoto.org The first one I know. The second one only because of the environment it's in. The last 2... no clue?

The casting couch was never on tv. I think it was pornhub or something like that.

The joke was the juxtaposition between innocent family friendly couches that are fairly universally known and one that was raunchy but just as well known.

Using juxtaposition as an element of humor is a well studies form of humor, check out "incongruous juxtaposition theory" which is a theory for what makes things humorous. I know you have said you have autism so perhaps understanding the formal theories of humor might help you understand why jokes like this are funny? I hope that helps.

@freemo@qoto.org I don't think the bottom two were ever aired here.

And the joke was? Sometihng like '3 kid's shows and then there's one about sex'? Although the Simpsons I wouldn't really call a kid's show per se.

I am autistic but generally speaking I do understand humor. But thanks. :P

My apologies then, I was just trying to be helpful, not judgemental or anything.

Just that if the references are unknown to one, the humor is lost whether they have autism or not. ;)

Fair, you explain a joke it doesnt work. You kinda need the shock value.
