   I know WASD is the most common way to control characters and even navigate menus, but please also allow arrow keys as well, at least for menus. Have both layouts work at same time, it's not much more code :) thank you.

     @djlink Oh yes, a big +1 for arrows always as an alternative. And I wish many games had a menu with a way to remap these keys; because many keyboard layouts in the world don't have the WASD key positions.
     Here is how a game with only WASD plays on a French default Azerty keyboard... Unplayable:

     I'm a qwerty keyboard user who prefers to use ESDF for movement in videogames.

     @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @djlink@mastodon.gamedev.place When you think about it ESDF makes a lot more sense than WASD because your fingers don't move away from their home column in typing.
