it's funny that all of this stuff is portrayed (in the books) sympathetically from rowling's liberal white woman worldview and these people still attack her for having it in the story at all
hogwarts legacy obviously shoved a bunch of superficial diversity into the game late in development and the devs still got eaten by the mob
even if you please these maniacs today, in 5 years your work will be deeply problematic. much better to tell them to go piss up a rope

Its them directly inserting themselves, or someone they know into the story. Same reason they claim all anime is pedophilia.

@deprecated_ii @Jens_Rasmussen I think it's a slight stretch but idiots can't tell the difference between their own interpretation and the authors intention. (Really I just don't have any faith in Rowling as an author to have any meaningful subtext)

@Jens_Rasmussen :02_shrug: I have no idea if that's something rowling ever said but I can see how the weirdos got there

@deprecated_ii >Werewolves are a direct parallel for HIV

@Jens_Rasmussen although now I think about it I'm not sure the interpretation works except in hindsight, because it *really* hinges on the idea of the wolfsbane potion representing HIV antivirals. were such drugs readily available in 1998, when Rowling was writing book 3?
