     @romin @Moon it still has that centrality to it i was criticizing before, but the "center" looks like this cloud of little green dots like a naturally occurring web of closer-knit instances seen from a distance
     
     the lines themselves are shaped so that they give an impression of perspective, the gaps between the "nearer" dots/lines necessarily looking larger but getting smaller as one approaches the green vanishing point
     
     (in before someone mentions The Great Gatsby)
     
     it doesn't reflect the *ideal* of the fediverse the way the perfectly balanced pentagon (really a 5-cell?) does but it does seem more descriptively evocative
