You know how I can tell you don't have hailstorm where you live?

@WandererUber @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib There are absolutely people here that know more about "volts and watts" than you, and understand that solar is a technology that is pushed by the elite to destroy western civilization.

@db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib @sickburnbro it's really a waste of time to discuss this with you if that's the limit of your intellect.
You yourself stated that you wouldn't buy a tesla and I already responded to that in detail. Has this already slipped your mind?
You don't need a '$15k charging system', you MIGHT WANT a 15$ electric generator on your roof that can provide more than adequate power for your entire household, if you have average electricity consumption.
Also teslas get 400mi range, so you couldn't even get that one right.

@WandererUber @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib @sickburnbro if only we knew a volt from a watt, then we could be able to accept that it takes 10hrs to charge an $80k car on a sunny day with a $15k charging system to drive 100mi.

@ChadleyDudebro @tyler @db @doonxib @sickburnbro >solar energy gets more expensive in extreme weather zones
everything does. this is surprising to you? Maybe it will also surprise you that most people do not live in areas that are constantly uninhabitable. But I guess everyone on here who can't tell a volt from a watt but knows it all about how bad solar is drives to the gas station every day because they did 400 miles in a hailstorm. Smdh at these platitudes.

@WandererUber @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib the simple answer is this: if the grid fails, your solar system is a hinderance, not an advantage. If the grid fails, 99% of what you want your solar system for is useless.

@sickburnbro @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib Really looking forward to a single coherent argument from them! So far, I've never heard more than fud and low IQ takes from actual anti-solar guys (from libtards as well of course. those aren't on here luckily)

@WandererUber @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib for a short outage I have a backup generator capable of keeping things I need running.
I'm talking about a long term failure

@sickburnbro @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib I can't even think of an argument supporting this statement.
grid goes down, no solar -> no power, no heating (your burner needs electricity), no cooling, no phone/internet
grid goes down, I have solar -> power, heating, cooling, everything else

@sickburnbro @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib Didn't ask about generators, but I am well aware you can make power from gasoline (from the gas station lmfao).
Give me an argument why solar is useless in a power outage even though it makes power.

@WandererUber @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib I'm not interested in making the argument you want to rebut, did you have something else to say?

@WandererUber @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib your reading comprehension is as poor as I feared. Don't electrocute yourself on your expensive toy.

@sickburnbro @db @ChadleyDudebro @tyler @doonxib So you can't back your statement up at all.
>So far, I've never heard more than fud and low IQ takes from actual anti-solar guys
Still the case

@WandererUber to make it explicit because you seem to be incapable of reading carefully: when I say "fail" I don't mean 'out for 5 days because of a hurricane' I mean "no power can be generated because coal plants went offline and they can't start thing back up from backup generators, producing mass chaos and death"

@sickburnbro You've said nothing of substance.

@sickburnbro Sounds like the perfect time to have your very own 10 kilowatt generator on the roof.

@WandererUber I'd prefer a micro nuclear reactor in my basement and a machine shop for it to power, but alas
