     @nyx @Arcana @dushman it is a big deal for most people, but then again, we're not "most people" (I would love to see the current state of the art on drugs and autism research sometime)

     @allison @Arcana @dushman it amazes me that people think HPPD is such a terrible fate to suffer from abusing drugs. this is just what my default perception has been like for as long as I can remember, long before I had ever done any drugs. big fucking deal

     @nyx @Arcana @dushman @allison note that if we're going down that route (we shouldn't) the pathologisation of hppd itself isn't even based on the sensory alteration but the subjective fear or distress it causes - people worrying they've permanently fucked themselves up by trying acid that one time
