@arstechnica I am already refusing to use any product that incorporates AI, including any search engine or browser. To google is dead verb to me.
@JoeP @arstechnica I have a 5 year old iPhone that has an app that counts my steps whether I want it to or not, that I can’t delete, so I use that for steps. I have a cheap finger clamp pulse/oximeter, but my resting pulse is almost always around 55-60 beats per minute so I don’t worry about much.

So, recommendations for a step counter & pulse tracker without big tech involved? Where your data stays with you?
@JoeP @arstechnica I write down my daily stats in a calendar book, and that data stays with me.
