     @puniko I saw this in dutch news even and it's good, I hope we wouldn't let the mofo in either, but I don't understand: how is it possible? It's all eu and Schengen. There's freedom of movement in the eu. You don't even need to show your passport when taking the train or anything.

     But even if you did - how can they ban an eu citizen? I thought you were bound to let those in.

     @puniko I'm mostly just surprised that eu law allows for exceptions. It seems like it could be easily misused (imagine what someone like melloni, Wilders, afd, Orbán, etc etc could see as political extremism not to allow someone in their country...)

     I mean. Imagine Orbán or melloni or at this point approaching half the eu (Sweden Democrats, true fins, vox, Slovakia now) banning an ngo speaker because their "illegal lgbt propaganda threatens public order and the mental health of our children"

     @puniko for example. A far right government could relatively easily interpret a law like this in that way.

     What I'm trying to say is... it's obviously nice right now that this pig can be dumped out the country, but I'm not sure if it's a nice law to have on the books given the political parties on the rise everywhere from here to Germany from Austria to France and from Italy to Sweden to Hungary to finland, Belgium, Spain, Portugal... everywhere.

     It seems too broad/vague.

     @UkeBLCatboy@mastodon.social i don't think its that easy to misuse this. i mean, there is still stuff like EUGH who could overturn this in one way or the other, i think. also idk what the process of requesting such an exception would be, it probably also needs to get by some judge or something, but idk.
     
     sure i get your concerns, but if that would be the case, wouldn't those assholes not already have tried to misuse it by now?

     @puniko on top of which it makes good propaganda ("the elite and EU are censoring us!!") so you might only be helping the mother trucker electorally.

     So yeah. Not sure to be happy with this or not, I expect we have a similar law then probably since they reference the eu treaty, it probably is like this for all Member States.
