  I think there are some differences:
  
  1. No profit
  2. No algorithms to "addict" users and keep them logged on.
  
  Those seem to be why the claims survived.

  @Humpleupagus we laugh but it would set a precedent. those companies have the lawyers and money to shrug off those lawsuits, but using that precedent against the fediverse?
