   it is interesting to hear people who were not alive in the 1980s make statements of fact about politics in the 1980s that don't conform to what I saw and experienced (admittedly was young) it makes me question my understanding of any movement prior to my own existence. everybody just reinterprets the past according to some current stupid-ass political trend I guess.

     @dj yeah it is not a given that the experience is the end of the discussion. at the same time experience qualitatively cannot be replaced by any other kind of knowledge

     I'd say hindsight makes a difference. I view bill Clinton with a much darker perspective now then in the 90's. Even Raygun was no saint either.

     @tk Do you want to hear something interesting? I know people that acted like adults in the 1980s (they were adults.) But in current year they act like children. Society literally made them regress.
