   I think it's funny that flip phones flipped because Star Trek communicators flipped and it was seen as super cool and futuristic , but then now that we have Touchy Brick flip phones feel retro and outdated

     @astrid@fedi.astrid.tech My favorite pre-android era phone is the Sony Ericsson W995.
     
     Very great slider phone that indeed only had a T9 keyboard. I loved that thing back in the day. It could play MP4 movies, had expandable storage (sadly Memory Stick M2 and not MicroSD) and it browse the web using WiFi (big deal at the time).
