   To be clear this isnt a mastodon problem, but some sort of problem that occured in migration of our servers. We have some fixes in line and should have it resolved soon I hope.

   In the meantime one thing you could do is export your following list and import at the new location. This will alert people you follow them.

   Also keep in mind even once fixed expect to loose a **large** portion of your following (typically double digit percentages). This is because as a server with one of the largest footprints many of your followers often dont federate with other servers. So expect a noticeable loss as a result of that which is typical even when its working.

     Dear fediverse friends,

     I'm having problems migrating from qoto.org to @hesgen, owing to a fault that prevents migration of followers to a new instance.

     If you follow me here, and haven't already done so, please follow @hesgen manually. At the time of writing, around 70 of you have done this, for which many thanks.

     If you don't follow me here, g'wan, you know you want to! Not here, but at @hesgen.

     I'm getting the impression that, on a technical level, Mastodon is all a bit sealing wax and string.

     Update: 17 March...

     Still not resolved. Sysadmin says he'll look at the problem in the coming week. Around 10% of followers have manually re-followed at @hesgen.
