Sometimes it outputs an English translation that means the same thing twice.
After all, it is an English speaker.

@kj30D Yeah DeepL loves duplicating statements for whatever reason, nowadays if I need to do Japanese->English translation I have the best luck with (free) ChatGPT -

@kj30D the prompt I use is either "in english" below the text to be translated or "translate the text below this line into (language)", the japanese equivalents should work just fine -
