     @thomasfuchs i never take it off of anything. I have 15 year old guitars with bubbling film on the pickguards. Most people think I'm nuts. I'd agree.

     @thomasfuchs I do that on purpose until they get scratched or ratty. It's like having a free screen protector for the microwave keypad.
