     @aral @cory been a fan of your and @laura work for ages. Frankly, I’m exhausted. It’s feels like we’re “losing” the fight against big tech.

     @cferdinandi @cory @laura I hear you, but don’t think of it as a battle. I’m not fighting big tech, I’m working to create small tech. Yes, I’m very vocal about pointing out the hypocrisies, etc., of big tech because people need to know there is a problem (otherwise, why are we working on these alternatives?) but, really, I couldn’t care less about big tech. I care about creating fairer, kinder spaces where people can live better lives.

     (Goodness knows I have my everything-is-shit-why-in-the-hell-am-I-even-trying days too. But then I think “what’s the alternative?” This isn’t the world I want to live in, I’m lucky enough to have the skills to try and build a better one, so it would be a shame not to at least try.) :)
