     @AlphaKiloPapa @sickburnbro @TeaTootler I'm older and I've been in this exact position a couple or so times over my career, starting with the tech bubble implosion of the 90's. It's part of working in tech if you just want to be a low level guy working on the actual technical problems like myself.
     
     It was often a year or two of "off time" before finding a job related to my field. I used temp agencies doing manual labor work to bring in income. I'm fine with that. Work is work. At the same time I did what I could to upgrade my technical skills.
     
     NOT MOR LEARNING TO CODE. God, kill me.
     
     It's not forever. It's just his first time. Sucks. If you don't like it start your own business or do contract work like I did. Or get into more general technical work involving management. That seems more stable once you reach a certain level. Not my thing, though.
     
     Life is good. It's just not easy. No one ever said it was.

     @sickburnbro @AlphaKiloPapa @TeaTootler Yes. You are entirely correct. It's the same here in Canada with our foreign "students". A million of them, plus family members now, who all can work full time while attending fake diploma mills.
     
     What I described stopped working starting 5 years ago here as well. If I didn't have my own work right now and had to get a temp job I'd be screwed. And tech is fucked right now everywhere.
     
     It's killing the young people.
     
     As Trevor says, I just want to run the camps.
