@brooke@retrohondajunki they did not ask what "benefit of the doubt" means, but the request for "more background" shows a lack of understanding of what benefit of the doubt means. "Benefit of the doubt" is what you give when you don't have more background.
"Benefit of the doubt" is very similar to our principle of "assume good faith" in wiki world.
@evan I suspect what @retrohondajunki is asking is "what are the people doing with their implementation, and is it good/bad/indifferent" rather than "what does benefit of the doubt mean"

I'm asking, if you find a new AP implementation, do you start with the expectation that their intent is benevolent, or do you start with an assumption that they are planning to do harm.
