Pardon me i think it's been half a year since last time I used X11. No restart required, if anything - logout+login should suffice.

     @coolboymew @XRatedPoetry @mischievoustomato back when i was using nvidia it was also necessary to make plasma "unstuck" as it would eventually get stuck and show wrong time with compositing on. Also on X11 you really want to disable compositing when playing videogames because it causes stutters and lower perceived performance/lag, even on AMD.
