   Japan's GDP has been declining for over 30 years. It has been performing poorly in comparison to China. We no longer hear about new tech innovations from the country, and cities are becoming dirtier and more crime-ridden. Everything now costs less for tourists but more for locals. I think Japan as we knew is no longer the same. In my view, it's becoming poorer. People in Japan are becoming poorer.

     My monthly allowance now is half of what it was in high school. I can see my family's financial struggles, and now that I'm an adult, I'm working and studying at the same time to maintain my education. I hope that we can still hold on to optimism.

     @neuronakaya I feel for you. As a Malaysian we feel pessimistic about our country all the time. All i can say is the best thing we can do is to focus in what we can influence and leave the rest out because it would be overwhelming. Hugs

     @liztai I'm actually optimistic about the economic growth of ASEAN nations. There are plenty of problems in these nations but I believe they continue to improve.

     @neuronakaya Haha i hope so. Tbh I left Australia to return to Malaysia because I wantednto contribute rather than exist in a developed nation. If anything I was glad to be alive during the pivotal elections that changed our nation. Whether for the better or not, remains to be seen, but I have hope.
