      @HistoPol @SilviaMarton Jau, das ist viel Stoff für so einen Film. Ich weiß nicht, ob der Film das auch an alle transportiert. die ihn sehen. Ich habe vor langer Zeit den ersten Film Dune gesehen. Mit Daniel Baldwin glaube ich. Aber da ist ur noch eine schwache Erinnerung da. diese philosophische Tiefe jedenfalls nicht.

      Der ursprünfliche Film* gefiel i.d.R. nur Leuten, die die Bücher gelesen hatten.

      Die #Dune-Thematik hat in der bombastischen Visualisierung nicht nur das initiale #HerrDerRinge-Problem, sondern ist durch seine komplexen soziologischen, evolutionären, klimatischen, ökonomischen sowie politischen und religiösen Handlungsstränge nicht in dieser Mehrdimensionalität filmisch abbildbar.

      Es lohnt sich, die #DuneSaga komplett zu lesen--wird aber realistisch wohl kaum passieren:

      Es sind mittlerweile schon *23* 1) Bände, von denen ich auch "nur" die vom verstorbenen #FrankHerbert noch selbst geschriebenen im Original gelesen habe.

      Die ersten 40-50% des ersten Buches sind zäh, danach läuft es bis zum 6. Band 2) durch. Suchtpotential!

        Perry Rhodan ist der Titelheld der gleichnamigen deutschen Science-Fiction-Serie, die seit dem 8. September 1961 ununterbrochen wöchentlich in Form von Heftromanen mit einer Druckauflage von etwa 60.000 Heften (Stand: Jahr 2019) bei der Verlagsunion Pabel-Moewig, einer Tochter der Bauer Media Group, erscheint. Bisher sind mehr als 3200 Hefte mit rund 190.000 Seiten erschienen.       @HistoPol @energiepirat @SilviaMarton I. D. R. ist korrekt. Ich habe die Bücher nicht gelesen (nur das Spiel damals gespielt), und ich finde den David Lynch Film fantastisch. Und das in allen mir bekannten Varianten (3 Stück kenne ich). Die über 190 Minuten lange US Fernsehversion ist eine meiner LieblingsDVDs. Und ich bin dennoch begeistert von der neuen Version.

      Es geht nicht so lange, bin jetzt seit 8 Jahren dran und bei Band 1558.
      So in 10 Jahren bin ich dann fertig. 😁

      @energiepirat @HistoPol @traigott @SilviaMarton die Hauptprotagonisten werden nicht durchgehend verwendet. Es kann durchaus passieren, dass ein Atlan über viele Monate nicht vorkommt. Selbiges gilt für einen Reginald Bull oder ähnliche Charaktere.

      Selbiges gilt für Icho Tolot - wobei andere Haluter immer wieder eine Rolle spielen. Aus der allerersten Riege ist ansonsten noch Homer G. Adams und Bully am Start (wobei letzterer aktuell nicht in der Handlung).

      Ich würde dennoch empfehlen bei Band 1 anzufangen.
      Wenn man dem ersten Zyklus nicht kennt, fehlt die gesamte Basis.
      Wenn man schnell liest, ist man in etwas über ner Stunde pro Band durch.
      Ausserdem gibt's doch m.W. jetzt auch Hörbücher, oder?

      @energiepirat @HistoPol @traigott @SilviaMarton wenn man dem #PerryRhodan hashtag hier folgt sieht man manchmal, dass manchem bei dem schieren Umfang mulmig zumute wird und vlt gar nicht erst anfängt, zu lesen. Ich fing auch irgendwo in der Mitte an (noch nicht mal zu nem Hunderter-Heft) und verstand erstmal nicht viel. Heutzutage gibt es mit der perrypedia aber auch ein Nachschlagewerk, wenn man etwas Vorwissen braucht.
