   I haven't been thinking much about gab in the past day or so, but I just checked out their weird AI site. I honestly never visited it before, and I remember when that url went to the main gab social site. I had not been paying attention to it at all, but going there, I think it's pretty obvious this is Torba's newest venture. He is basically closing down Gab Social or abandoning it and getting people to sign up for "Pro" is just a way to get some money from its users without having to maintain it too much. Cut the free chaff, cut expenses, and focus on the AI thing.
   
   I also haven't been paying too much attention to the "AI" thing, but it seems to be a big business now. It seems like it's the newest buzzword to get people/businesses to sign up for a service. I don't know how good the gab AI is, but if I had to guess, it probably can't compete with actual better AIs anyway.

     @CozyPuPP Yeah I wasn't paying much attention to AI in general because I kind of saw the applications of them and didn't care, but now it's a legitimate selling point for brands in every industry. It's weird, but it seems the common person is attracted to and puts trust in machine learning.

     @that_groyper Could be. The AIs are fun to mess around with every couple of months to see how easy it is to trick them, or to see how stupid they are compared to a search engine. Skynet must be a long way off still.

     @that_groyper @dudebro @CozyPuPP it's the dream of the elite, to become independent of humans, by having some AI superintelligence. In virtually every sector of the economy, they're no longer talking about smart people, but always AI. So just one example, to solve the problems at Boeing right now, 100% guaranteed, it won't be some human that solves them, not even a diversity hire woman, but "AI".

     @dudebro @CozyPuPP It's definitely in the same vein as that, crypto, NFTs. AI has actual automated applications, but I'm noticing EVERYTHING is being slapped with it as a marketing buzzword now. "Hotdogs, made by AI" or some shit like that.
