   British people, if you have a weird callous on your dominant hand's index finger palm side, starting at the second knuckle outer edge and then going in a straight line diagonally down and across.

   Thats because of Coca-Cola changing their bottles to the "attached caps".

   For the cap to stay attached after opening they had to reduce the height of the cap by about 1/3rd which means the torque you now have to apply whenever you open or reopen the cap damages your hand.

     @trechnex yeah i use my clothes to open the cap now, rip the first contact point and leave the second which is enough to get the cap away from my face but it all in all is a terrible design

     @siege yet another behaviour nudge for soda drinkers. 🤦🏻♂️

     First it was paper straws that disintegrate, which led me to buy metal ones.

     Then the sugar tax, which has led me to buy Zero & Max variants.

     Now these attached caps make me buy aluminium cans that are more recyclable, or pour the coke into a glass, because I don’t enjoy feeling like I’m drinking from a very uncomfortable plastic canteen.

     @Bindestriche @hazelnot and there are better solutions to that issue but this one saved them money on plastic

     @siege Yup, but they claim to be "environmentally friendly" now cause something about people recycling the bottle but throwing the cap in the trash? Or some other nonsense like that?
