Cis men get Viagra, testosterone, and penile prostheses. Cis women get breast augmentations.
It’s ALL gender-affirming care.
Yet so many people’s objections to gender-affirming care don’t kick in until it goes against the gender binary. 🧐

I totally agree with you.
But just as a point of nuance, most people seem to object and find it off putting (to put it mildly) when CIS people get plastic surgery too. Breast augmentation and penile augmentation are seen by many (unfairly) as vain and ugly.
My point being, this probably isnt the best example, I do agree with you that people should be free (and not ridiculed) for any type of plastic surgery. But it seems to me whether we are talking about CIS or Trans plastic surgery they receive a lot of hate either way.
Agreed.
@freemo Plus, trans gender-affirming care shows a dramatic benefit with regard to suicide prevention. Cis gender-affirming care tends to improve quality of life - which is still important! - more than survival per se.
@freemo I get what you’re saying, but it’s not an apples-to-apples comparison. People might frown upon cis gender affirmation that they see as vanity, but people are quite literally - and, frankly, genocidally - calling for the “eradication of transgenderism from public life.” In this way, public perception of cis and trans gender-affirming care are not the same. Not even close.
