LillyLyle/Count Melancholia (lillyherself@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 02-Mar-2024 06:48:43 JST LillyLyle/Count Melancholia @guncelawits @jeffowski Did you know that they don't sell menswear in size "small"? The sizes start at medium because apparently no man likes to think of himself as "small". Fragile masculinity or what!

US clothing sizes and Asian clothing sizes are very different, which is why you always have to look at the sizing guide online. -

LillyLyle/Count Melancholia (lillyherself@mastodon.social)'s status on Saturday, 02-Mar-2024 08:25:39 JST LillyLyle/Count Melancholia @jeffowski @guncelawits Well, I can only speak for the western world, and mainly in-person shopping. It seems to bother men a lot less to order smaller sizes online, and GAP has always offered even XS, which is even to small for me.
I first became aware of this when "Marlboro" (yes, like the cigs) opened a menswear store and my bf (average size guy) was unable to buy anything there because they "didn't do small sizes".
Here is a typical example from Lidl: https://www.lidl.co.uk/p/livergy-men-s-hoodie/p10011275
