     @HarneyB sounds kind of like a pain in the ass really. but @p tends to be a huge fan of awk.

     @icedquinn do you know about the site generators that use awk (zodiac) and shell (ssg) respectively? Haven't used either yet but the idea of using the tools that are roughly in all unix-like systems to slap up a blog is really cool tbh

     @s8n @HarneyB @p supposedly one of the original markdowns was done up in awk.
     
     i dunno maybe i don't know enough of it to find a use for it. i don't really use it for things that need complex processing like paragraph markup.

     @icedquinn @HarneyB @p awk is good because when you are 95% of the way through a quick bash / sed script and exceed the limits of your environment, awk comes to the rescue with a good pseudo-array, pseudo-database implementation
