     @ryanhoulihan I keep trying to figure out what I want to say in response to this one—there’s something so poignant about her and the other dancers in their warmup/rehearsal clothes, being so good and expressive even without all the impressive stage effects and lights and stuff and I don’t even know what I’m trying to articulate. It’s just making me feel feelings.

     Pop culture intersects so much with “serious” culture and that’s a super naïve position for mastodon to take, if it has. Most wealth is concentrated in pop culture, most persuasion of the masses happens in pop culture (see Jenny McCarthy the queen of the modern anti vax movement), laws are changed because of pop culture (AI/Taylor Swift).
