   @lizzie @affine i did that when i used rust and was trying to make a gui in it.
   
   i think now we have people experimenting with using ECS for that instead. i started to tinker with the concept in nim a while back, but not when i still used rust.

     @affine thats why im asking. ive had reference counted mutexes on many occasions, but i occasionally see people saying “stop using reference counted refcells” but who is doing that
