   A habit I am starting is to write a short sentence, like a diary entry, in Chinese every day. My writing is horrendous but this is one of the ways I am trying to remember the characters.

     @remoquete hehe i have to admit learning mandarin is different for second language learners vs heritage speakers (for one I understand and speak Mandarin tho not super well). Nowadays there are lots of apps! Try Hello Chinese. While I encourage people to learn reading the characters, it can be overwhelming so maybe focus on speaking and listening first.

     @remoquete One thing i learned about learning Mandarin, sometimes class settings are not very effective. The learning technique is super important. If you are serious you should take the Outlier Linguistics program. It is online.
