     I've long thought about how the way synths in particular assume an understanding and ability in both keyboard instruments and music theory (especially western) and that this is discouraging or even exclusionary of those people lacking either, whether through education or disability.

     I couldn't even get on with the Volcas, cool and neat as they are, because of their reliance on the kb model.
     When I migrated to 0Coast and a tweakable sequencer, everything I wanted to do suddenly felt within reach, and ofc also starred my descent into modular hell lol.
     I'm so not a musician and theory is like witchcraft, but I can do something creative for myself that isn't constrained by musical tradition.
