     :blobcatgooglyholdingitsheadinitshands: its crazy how detailed it is. like, i remember when the original image by hubble was released, and i was already mindblown by that.
     that we are now able to make images of space with this crazy better resolution lets me relive this mindblow feeling of back then again

     @koakuma@uwu.social 8 years is a very very very small timespan in cosmic relations. also the nebula is quite big, so it takes a while for things to noticeably change
     Stretching roughly 4 to 5 light-years, the Pillars of Creation are a fascinating but relatively small feature of the entire Eagle Nebula, which spans 70 by 55 light-years.

     @puniko Somewhat more surprising to me is that the thing doesn't appear to have changed much between the two pictures
