It was subject to some bad faith criticisms in the thread, but this is actually a very relevant document.
Oliphant's max blocklist was inherently queerphobic, because it allowed a single source to add an instance to the list and just the baseline level of queerphobia in society almost guaranteed harms to occur.
TBS has a nearly identical problem, as TBS instances are not effectively independant from each other and may share moderators.

It's also very strange that Ro saw a post criticizing him from a small account on Kolectiva.
Because, again, Ro's instance blocks Kolectiva and has done for for well over a year.
The only way he could have possibly seen this (fairly mild) criticism, is if he was specifically looking for it.

Definitely my biggest criticism of TBS is that WelshPixie, who has a long history of transphobic moderation decisions, has two votes and strong influence over other instances.
That means WP can unilaterally add queer instances to the public blocklist.
That means WP can unilaterally veto appeals to remove wrongly added instances from the public blocklist.
That means you are asking WP's victims to apologize to her.
That's obviously untenable.

Artisan.chat was an instance in good standing, contributing to both the TBS and Oliphant blocklists.
Now it has a 50% rating on TBS.
What did Artisan Chat do?
They relayed credible reports of queerphobia made against WelshPixie, as part of a service that aggregates Fediblock reports.
Artisan Chat immediately capitulated, apologized and fired the mod, but it didn't matter.
Half of TBS's sources are so controlled by, devoted to, or scared of WelshPixie that it's effectively a single source.
