     @ielenia @deviantollam There was some positive press coverage in the UK leading up to the case, but since the judgement against me ("the government is discriminating but it's okay because it might cost them a few million pounds not to") it's just been the tabloids.

     I'm not aware of any mainstream international press coverage.

     What my barrister actually pleaded for in court was literally just the gender recognition certificate and a declaration that "not specified" (which their computers already support) means a gender besides female/male, but the judges didn't buy the argument that the government would not then be required to immediately update all laws and IT systems to accommodate that.

     Meanwhile, every other country, including those which inherited the british legal system, have rolled out nonbinary legal recognition incrementally, and it's been fine.

     The straggler in the US is the social security administration.

     @ielenia @deviantollam I've managed to get the US Department of State to have someone's senior chief of staff call me about this, and have exchanged emails with them.

     A bit of mainstream international press would be a major tipping point.

     @ielenia @deviantollam I got some pretty good exposure on Twitter a year ago, and that was my primary plan for fundraising, but I've had to leave along with a lot of other queer people due to the New Management making it unsafe for us.

     @ielenia @deviantollam I spent a lot of time building custom tools for Twitter to find massive swaths of bigots block them. The API cutoff shut that down.
