@hobbsc yes and with text i can bounce around inside from one spot to the other. with video it's linear, i have to scrub the thing back and forth and search, or bookmark spots (like how am I supposed to know I'll need something before I go back?) - it's not inferior, it has its strengths, like if you REALLY have to demonstrate something. but that's almost never the case for tech stuff.

Learning by video is incredibly frustrating and difficult to me, especially when the transcripts provided move at the pace of the video and/or they're in a squished little window. I just want to read the relevant information.
