   @lirazel I have an inherent sense of my gender, but I don't feel especially attached to it.

   If it went away, I don't think I'd be missing much.

     Yes, Lauren is once again Wondering About Gender. Please humor me!

     For friends who do feel an inherent sense of gender, if the idea of gender suddenly a) disappeared or b) was replaced by a perspective that views it like personality--everyone has one, but each one is intrinsically different--how would you feel about that? Would it really affect your life in any way? Would you feel impoverished? What exactly would you miss?
