I love the #KpopMonday theme #samesame I have this joke with my family that some kpop groups are Pokémon because they say their name in their songs so much. I feel this weeks challenge has the same vibe 😀

Erzbet (erzbet@apobangpo.space)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Feb-2024 05:44:28 JST Erzbet @cinderdazzle612 Oh, this is a whole fun tangent in kpop. Since there's so many producers that produce for lots of groups, they create little sound tags that they add to the beginning of songs "I need a Cha Cha beat boy" from Cha Cha Malone or "Woogie on and on" from Woogie. It's a way for fans to know they are behind the song even when it comes from other artists at different companies. Lemme collect a bunch of examples and maybe I'll do a whole spam posting of them tomorrow or something.

Chicken :cqlgusu: (lookitmychicken@blorbo.social)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Feb-2024 05:44:28 JST Chicken :cqlgusu: @Erzbet @cinderdazzle612 aha I was wondering about this just before I went insane about Stray Kids.
(Because I liked so many of their songs that I needed to find out who produced them, & then I could find more K-pop from those producers. Little did I know, etc...)

Erzbet (erzbet@apobangpo.space)'s status on Tuesday, 20-Feb-2024 05:44:30 JST Erzbet @cinderdazzle612 I've thought about doing a theme week of the songs with the producer tags at the beginning (like the whispered "JYP" at the start of all the songs he produced). There's also something to be said about the unique company intros at the start of a lot of kpop mvs.
:)
