1) It depends on what you mean, you can proxy S3 media with nginx for you pixelfed server to reduce egress fees
2) The ACL is handled at the object/media level, we set them as public but with private visibility in directories, similar to mastodon.

Hi @dansup I am thinking about starting a pixelfed instance for me and I want to use MinIO for storage. I already use it for Mastodon. I have 2 questions:
1 Does Pixelfed need caching via Nginx or does Pixelfed this by itself?
2 Does the bucket need a special ACL like Mastodon?
The bucket needs public GET OBJECT to work for Mastodon
I did not find anything in the docs :neocat_think_anime:
