   To all Fedi Admins currently being hit with a spam wave:

   Defederate from these instances:

   • social.cutefunny.net (warning: CP)
   • cunnyborea.top
   • m.mxin.moe
   • friendsyu.me

   Block the following E-Mail Domain and whatever temp Mail provider it resolves to: chitthi.in

   All our spam accounts came from this E-mail, the above instances seem to not do anything against the spam.

   Since you probably have some of these accounts sleeping:

   https://[your-instance.tld]/admin/accounts?email=%25%40chitthi.in there just select all and press “Ban”. Good luck, everyone!

     @ErikUden @funbaker Not even a tiny bit would get me into building such a infrastrucutre! We should learn out of the issues with Mailservers and not do the same mistakes. The bad space is the perfect example of how wrong it could get within fediverse

     List of Instances that have / had spam

     I've moved the collaborative list here

     Me and a team of people will constantly monitor the spam situation, add instances to the list that have fallen victim to the spam and kick instances off the list when they're freed again.

     I've worked on this all day - I hope it'll help some admins struggling to find a solution!

     If you're an admin of the spam instances:
     Take a look at the post this is a reply to in order to stop the spam on your instance.

     @funbaker @ErikUden sorry, i apologize for the somewhat aggressive tone. Altho i still stand behind what i say.
     Look, who decides what Spam is?
     Objectively one could define mutual aid as Spam. I dont think that there should be a central Authority which defines a List.
     Id rather improve tooling, like out of the 3 main software 2 can handle Spam pretty well just Mastodon cant.

     @ErikUden I assume that those people are just confusing spam with hatespeech, and thus should be ignored, and also those two things must continue to be handled completely separate.

     @funbaker @ErikUden that might be. Let me introduce you to the technology what currently is used to prevent spam waves like that. There is something called MRF which allows Admins of pleroma/akkoma to define filters on incoming/outgoing posts.
     Patches for misskey & forks do exist.
     In the past Gragron spoke out against something like this without proper arguments even tho he got warned and he is aware of the situation.
     That was some time ago and now i would like that he re-evaluates the situation so therefore i opened up an issue on github:
